Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jian Zhao (ranked 1379 p4p, 1056 weight class) and Zayden Ahmad (ranked 125 p4p, 99 weight class). Zhao comes into the arena with Dirty Harry (Schtung Chinese New Year Remix) - Gorillaz blaring out of the sound system. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zayden Ahmad!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhao gets tackled into the cage by Ahmad. Ahmad maintains the clinch.
Zhao scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ahmad pushes Zhao back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Ahmad lands a left hand.
Ahmad tries a body shot but Zhao blocks it.

Zhao breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Zhao.
An inside leg kick lands from Zhao.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Zhao lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ahmad has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ahmad and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Zhao takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Ahmad changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Ahmad throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zhao.
Zhao ducks under a wild hook from Ahmad.

and Ahmad counters with a nice body kick.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zhao crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ahmad - the referee stops the clock and Zhao gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ahmad. Zhao manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

A quick step to the side and Zhao tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ahmad scores with a shot to the body.
Ahmad cracks Zhao with an uppercut from hell and Zhao crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Ahmad's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Zhao wants to hit a sweep here but Ahmad passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Zhao there!
Zhao is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Ahmad has taken his back.
Zhao trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Zayden Ahmad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ahmad has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
