The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilmore swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gilmore throws a right hand that Blythe ducks under and follows up with a left that Blythe also avoids with ease.
Gilmore throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Blythe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gilmore.

Gilmore takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Blythe uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gilmore.

Some bone on bone action there as Blythe checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Nice combo by Blythe! Oh, that's hurt him - Gilmore falls to the canvas and Blythe follows him into side control.
It looks like Happy Gilmore has been cut.
Blythe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gilmore knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gilmore can do anything to dispel that myth.
