Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Khazmat Zorb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Khainbred Nurmaganopussy!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zorb throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nurmaganopussy's waist but Nurmaganopussy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zorb off to one side.
Zorb shoots in but no luck this time.
Zorb fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khazmat Zorb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nurmaganopussy looks for a takedown but Zorb sprawls well.
Zorb shoots in looking for a takedown. Nurmaganopussy tries to sprawl out of it but Zorb keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nurmaganopussy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nurmaganopussy dives in for a single leg takedown but Zorb sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Zorb dives in and grabs Nurmaganopussy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nurmaganopussy pushes down on Zorb's head and hops out.
Nurmaganopussy only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Zorb fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nurmaganopussy to the ground. Zorb is now in Nurmaganopussy's guard.
Nurmaganopussy pushes a forearm under Zorb's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Zorb is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Khainbred Nurmaganopussy!
