Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peat Macallan (ranked 3728 p4p, 2020 weight class) and Islam Makhachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macallan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Makhachev to the mat! Makhachev manages to get full guard.
Macallan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Macallan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Makhachev for as long as he can get away with.
