Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peat Macallan (ranked 3728 p4p, 2020 weight class) and Islam Makhachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peat Macallan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Islam Makhachev! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macallan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Makhachev to the mat! Makhachev manages to get full guard. Macallan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Macallan throwing strikes from guard but Makhachev blocks nicely. Macallan is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Macallan stays in close to Makhachev's body and controls the position. Macallan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Makhachev working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Macallan. Macallan not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Macallan stopping the sweep attempt from Makhachev. Makhachev is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Macallan is aware though and is defending well. Macallan showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Macallan seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Makhachev for as long as he can get away with. Macallan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Macallan keeps the fight on the outside. Macallan attempts a counter takedown but Makhachev avoids it well and moves away. Makhachev misses with a body shot.
Makhachev doesn't succeed with the takedown and Macallan counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Makhachev! Macallan scores with punches from side control. Macallan is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Macallan working the head and body with strikes. Macallan happy to just control the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macallan scoring with punches from side control. Makhachev gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Makhachev tries to reverse the position but Macallan maintains control. Macallan is landing with some decent strikes but Makhachev is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Macallan controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macallan is in the full mount, landing strikes. Macallan looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Macallan is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Macallan!
