Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yael Miller (ranked 2975 p4p, 24418 weight class) and Cohen Barron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yael Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cohen Barron!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barron scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Yael Miller has been cut.
Miller swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Barron counters with a stiff right hand.
Miller looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Miller shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Barron sprawls well. Barron wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Miller gets slowly back to his feet.

Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Barron is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Miller shoots in and drives through. Barron sprawls well.
Barron comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Miller tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barron sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Miller somewhat.

Miller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Barron defends it nicely.

Miller gets caught napping as Barron dives in and scores a takedown. Miller manages to retain guard.
Barron loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Barron with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Miller wants to hit a sweep here but Barron passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Miller there!

Miller sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Barron stands up and beckons Miller to join him on the feet.
We've been informed that Barron has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Miller misses with a body kick.
Miller tries to clinch up.
Miller misses with a wild body shot.
Barron throws out a counter right but Miller avoids it with no problem.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Barron has closed the distance and engaged Miller in a clinch.

Miller has hold of one of Barron's legs. Barron is fighting the takedown attempt but Miller gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Barron manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Miller has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Barron is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Miller's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Barron pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd cheers as Barron lands an impressive looking overhand right. Miller doesn't seem phased though.
Miller leaves Barron with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Miller closes the distance looking to clinch
and Barron counters with a stiff right hand.

Miller rushes Barron and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Barron tries to pull guard but Miller forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Barron avoids the elbow strike from Miller, against the cage.

Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barron takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller leaves Barron with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Miller shoots in but no luck this time.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Barron! But no joy.
Miller wants to clinch.

Miller fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miller moves forwards but Barron connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Miller forces Barron back against the cage and clinches.
Barron is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

A nice left hand lands by Barron.

Miller is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Barron is defending well.

Barron goes for a double leg but Miller avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Miller continues to drive forward.
As Barron tries to get set, Miller tries to push him back and clinch up but Barron manages to avoid the attempt.
Miller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Barron as he jumps to the side.
Barron unleashes a big counter combination but Miller bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Miller takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Barron lands a two punch combo.
Yael Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Barron swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Miller.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Miller gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Barron fails to pull the fight into his guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Cohen Barron showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Miller throws Barron to one side and escapes!
Miller shoots for a double leg takedown but Barron sprawls well. He's pushed Miller's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yael Miller. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barron throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Miller on the side of the head.

Barron fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Miller to the ground. Barron is now in Miller's guard.

Miller has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Barron off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Miller changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barron looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Miller bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

A shot to the body from Miller misses
and Barron connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Miller explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Miller tries to clinch there but Barron circles away.
Barron shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Miller but Miller pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Barron throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Miller tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Barron is in Miller's guard.

Miller looking for a sweep. Not yet Miller, not yet.

Miller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Barron doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Barron manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Yael Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Barron cracks Miller with a solid left hand.
Barron won't allow Miller to get back to his feet.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Miller looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barron is one step ahead there.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
No luck for Miller with that takedown attempt.

Barron laying and praying for a moment but Miller takes advantage and regains half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Barron wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Miller uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yael Miller.
I think Barron has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
