Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gerald Phoenix (ranked 742 p4p, 2006 weight class) and Daniel Maverick (ranked 100 p4p, 248 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Maverick!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maverick lands a big head kick that sends Phoenix tumbling to the mat! Maverick takes a step backwards and waves Phoenix back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Daniel Maverick was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
