Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Gomez (ranked 2583 p4p, 2871 weight class) and Dylan Jacobson Ill (ranked 0 p4p, 241 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gomez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hotel California (Spanish Mix). Pedro Gomez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 2, fighting out of London, Pedro Gomez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dylan Jacobson Ill!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gomez enables Jacobson Ill to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gomez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jacobson Ill working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Gomez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacobson Ill on the ground.

Gomez has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Jacobson Ill is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
