The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Phillips lands a leg kick that knocks Scarborough off balance momentarily.
Boomer Scarborough has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Phillips throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Phillips buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jamison Phillips.
Well Phillips has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
