Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adolf Roser (ranked 4001 p4p, 5222 weight class) and John Cena (ranked 414 p4p, 476 weight class). Cena has chosen 28 by Zach Bryan as his entrance music. John Cena has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adolf Roser! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Cena! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cena wants to clinch up but Roser keeps it at a distance. Cena avoids the head kick by Roser.
Roser shoots in for a takedown but Cena shows good takedown defense. Roser ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cena moves away. Roser misses the shot to the body. Cena tries a head kick but it misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Roser misses the target. Cena tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. No luck for Cena with that takedown attempt. As Cena looks to move away, Roser throws a big counter combo but Cena just gets out of the way. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cena throws a head kick but Roser moves out of range.
Roser half committed to a counter leg kick. A head kick misses from Cena. Roser thuds a left hand into Cena's body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cena drives through with a takedown into Roser's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Roser is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cena slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Roser is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Cena is trying to stand.
Roser is taking a breather. Cena says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Cena moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cena pulls Roser in close to his closed guard and prevents Roser from doing any damage or advancing position. Roser postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roser trying to control but Cena is working from the bottom. Roser wants to pass the guard but Cena is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roser trying to control but Cena is working from the bottom. Roser sitting in guard here, content to control. Cena is adopting a defensive guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Cena. Roser throws a big counter combination but Cena scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Cena throws a half hearted mid kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. Roser letting Cena take a breather here. Roser tries to break free but Cena pushes him back against the cage. Cena breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Roser walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cena checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cena gets caught flat footed, as Roser shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Roser is breathing heavily. Cena wants to sweep here but Roser controlling him for the moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Adolf Roser will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Cena shoots for a double leg takedown but Roser sprawls well. He's pushed Cena's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Cena tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Roser manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cena tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roser sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cena somewhat. Cena throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Roser tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cena is in Roser's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cena seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cena throws a big elbow that misses. Cena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roser swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cena throwing strikes from guard but Roser blocks nicely. Roser trying to control the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Roser throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Cena works Roser's body with a nice hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cena misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Roser is looking to counter with a body kick. A combination from Cena does no damage. Roser waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cena. Cena follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Roser avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
It looked like Roser was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cena. Cena shoots for a takedown but Roser saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Adolf Roser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Cena. Cena is breathing heavily. A head kick misses from Cena. Cena fails to land the takedown. Cena shoots for a double leg takedown but Roser sprawls well. He's pushed Cena's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Roser throwing a counter right hand but Cena manages to avoid it. Cena gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Roser.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Cena looks like he's thinking about clinching though. John Cena is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Cena tries a low kick but Roser avoids it. Cena drops his hands momentarily and Roser takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roser is defended easily by Cena. Roser blocks a head kick by Cena.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cena looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roser tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. John Cena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cena instigates a clinch. Roser is trying to pull guard but Cena has him pressed against the cage. Cena tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Roser just stands there and leans against the cage. Cena breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Roser connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cena momentarily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cena throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cena clinches up with Roser and pushes him back against the cage. Cena is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but John Cena will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Cena misses with a head kick.
Roser shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cena napping and manages to drive through into side control! Cena gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Roser wants to control the pace but Cena is squirming around nicely. Roser sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cena working to try and regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cena is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cena wants to hold on but Roser pushes him away. Roser takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cena is really stuck here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Roser tries to get the hooks in deep but Cena pushed the leg off. Cena is in bad spot here.
Cena prevents Roser from getting a body triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cena is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Cena rolls, trying to escape but Roser keeps control of the position.
Roser tries to get the hooks in deep but Cena pushed the leg off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roser gets his hands free as Cena looks to control. Cena turns into Roser and is now in his guard.
Cena slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Roser being controlled for a moment. Cena working the ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cena controlling the position from side mount. Cena is looking to take a break and control but Roser is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cena happy to just control the position for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Roser gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to John Cena. I think Cena has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

John Cena wins by split decision! A determined John Cena didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
