Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Banton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Korbin Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banton avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Banton is looking to counter the offense by Hayes and move into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Banton.
Hayes walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Banton checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hayes pivots, looking for a leg kick but Banton is out of range and Hayes settles back down.
Banton keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Banton throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Hayes buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hayes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hayes throws a leg kick
and Banton counters with a three punch combo that has Hayes backing up. Hayes nods at Banton to acknowledge the strikes.
A low kick from Hayes is predictable there
enabling Banton to counter with a crisp jab.
Banton throws a right and a left that Hayes avoids nicely.
Hayes has Banton up against the cage in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Come on Hayes - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Banton is trying to pull guard but Hayes turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Banton wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Banton managing to block the knees to the body from Hayes.
Hayes is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Banton gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Hayes has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Banton doesn't defend quickly enough and Hayes has managed to lock this one up! Can Banton escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hayes on a fantastic submission victory.
