Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pocket Rocket!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Alden Horn!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocket works over Horn's head and body with a nice combination.
Horn tries to bum rush Rocket with a series of wild strikes but Rocket uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rocket stuffs the takedown.
Horn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rocket as he jumps to the side.
Horn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rocket misses with a hook. Horn ducked under it nicely.
Rocket scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Rocket moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Rocket closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Horn to the mat! Horn manages to get full guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rocket advances position into side control!
The referee asks Rocket politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Rocket prefers to stall for the moment though.
Horn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rocket. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rocket has an Americana. Horn didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rocket is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rocket hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Pocket Rocket!
During a confident post fight interview, Pocket Rocket thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
