Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Malo Tavara (ranked 4356 p4p, 4518 weight class) and Barry Chikorita (ranked 347 p4p, 364 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Malo Tavara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Barry Chikorita!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chikorita tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Tavara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Chikorita tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Tavara counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tavara works Chikorita's body with a nice hook.
Tavara has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Chikorita closes the distance but Tavara moves to the side
and Tavara counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Tavara misses with a body shot.
Tavara moves into range and connects with a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tavara scores with a nice head shot.
Chikorita darts in trying to clinch
and Tavara counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tavara digs a good hook to Chikorita's body.
Tavara circles away from the clinch attempt
and Tavara counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tavara fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Chikorita on the side of the head.
Tavara misses with a two punch combination.
Chikorita looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Tavara scores with a shot to the body.
Chikorita tries to clinch
and Tavara counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chikorita has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Tavara scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chikorita doesn't seem bothered though.
Chikorita moves to clinch but Tavara breaks away
and Tavara counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tavara throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chikorita stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tavara lands an overhand right.
Chikorita tries to clinch there but Tavara circles away.
Chikorita takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Chikorita closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Tavara to counter with a crisp jab.
Chikorita is rocked!
Tavara bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Chikorita is still on wobbly legs! Can Tavara finish him?
Chikorita walks straight into a big right, left combination from Tavara and drops to the floor! Oh, he's out cold! He's out cold! Wow, that finish was brutal! Congratulations to Tavara as he moves his way up the rankings!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Malo Tavara!
