Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Balls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nakamura throws a low kick but Balls avoids it.
Balls instigates a clinch.
Balls fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Balls pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nakamura stuffs the takedown attempt from Balls. Balls gets slowly back to his feet.
Nakamura gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Balls wants to pass the guard but Nakamura is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Balls looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Balls thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Balls trying to control the position from guard on top but Nakamura is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nakamura wants to sweep but no luck.
Nakamura keeping moving, preventing Balls from controlling successfully.
Balls wants to get up but he can't break Nakamura's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Balls drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Balls seems to have locked his on tight now - Nakamura screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Balls, as he picks up the win!
