Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stryka Beam (ranked 2808 p4p, 3319 weight class) and Jun Yong Park (ranked 299 p4p, 334 weight class). Beam comes into the arena with Fiend by Travis Scott blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stryka Beam! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jun Yong Park! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Park gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Beam counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Jun Yong Park has been cut. Park rushes Beam and presses him up against the cage. Beam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Beam closes the distance and clinches. Beam breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Beam clinches. Beam taking a breather. Still in the clinch, Park scores with a nice short uppercut. Beam lands with a left to the head. Park is trying to maintain a safe position but Beam gets an underhook and turns Park into the cage. Park can't find room to land a body shot as Beam controls the action.

Beam throws a combination. Park tries to block but a couple of punches get through. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Park shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beam but Beam pushes him off and we're back to square one. Excellent takedown into side control there by Beam.
That's one minute gone in the round. Park is trying to control Beam's posture but Beam avoids it. Park regains half guard. Park wants to control but Beam is keeping busy and won't allow it. Park has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Beam is on him like a limpet, forcing Park back against the cage. Park has Beam pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Beam manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Stryka Beam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jun Yong Park. Park tries to stall but Beam uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Come on Park - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Beam creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Park's defenses. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beam misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Park.

Beam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Park is looking to land body kicks. Park fails in his attempt to clinch. A jab lands there for Beam.
That has opened up Jun Yong Park's cut even more. Park tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Beam lands a left and a right that send Park crashing to the mat, dazed. Beam thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Park is rocked! Beam rushes Park and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Park is still on wobbly legs! Can Beam finish him? Park's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
The cut above Jun Yong Park's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Beam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Beam darts in and clinches Park up against the cage. Park's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Beam lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Beam tries to pull guard but Park forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Beam lands a body shot. Beam breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Beam tries to keep at a distance but Park has taken the fight into the clinch. Park blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. The referee calls for Beam to work.
Both fighters working to control the clinch. Park seems to have recovered his senses. Beam crunches a lovely knee into Park's ribcage. Beam manages to break the clinch.
Park keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Park takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Park dives in and grabs Beam's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beam pushes down on Park's head and hops out. Beam appears to be looking for a big counter. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Park pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Park wants to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beam fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Park, pushing him back against the cage. Park misses with some punches.

Park keeping moving, preventing Beam from controlling successfully. Park has control of Beam's left arm, preventing Beam from doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Beam would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Park is trying to control the position but Beam postures up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Beam digs a right hand underneath Park's ribcage. Park let out a lung full of air as it connected. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Park lands a shoulder strike. A nice glancing elbow lands by Beam. Beam lands a nice elbow. Beam pushes off an throws an elbow but Park leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Park misses with a short punch on the inside. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. That's one minute gone in the round. Park is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Park accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Park loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Park passes Beam's left leg - he's now in half guard. Park is trying to control the action in half guard but Beam is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Park missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Park gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Park throws a hook but Beam blocks it. Park fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Park jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Beam walks away with a smile on his face. Park gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Beam is looking to clinch. Park forces Beam back against the cage and clinches. Beam lands an uppercut. Park on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Park or perhaps it was just good defense by Beam, which made it look bad. Park feints a jab promting Beam to slip. Park then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Beam slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Stryka Beam has been cut. Beam forces Park back against the cage and clinches. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Park. Beam tries to land knees in the clinch but Park avoids the damage to the body. Park misses with the head strike.

Jun Yong Park's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Stryka Beam is winning the standup battle so far. Sloppy strikes from Beam. Those never looked like landing. Beam circles away from the clinch attempt.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Beam lands a jab to the nose. Beam lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. A looping hook to the body misses from Park. Beam does a little dance to reset his feet. Stryka Beam is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Some wild striking there from Beam.
Park tries to close the distance and clinch but Beam swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. It looks like Beam has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Beam tries to score a power double leg takedown but Park sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beam somewhat. Beam throws a sloppy head kick and Park moves out of range easily. Park closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Beam pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Beam pushes off an throws an elbow but Park leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Park has a couple of punches blocked by Beam.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Park shoots in looking for a takedown but Beam manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Park's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Park gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Beam. Park misses with a jab to the body
and Beam counters with a one-two to the body.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jun Yong Park's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Stryka Beam! Stryka Beam retains his middleweight title! Stryka Beam decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
