Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Slade Sutton (ranked 3019 p4p, 4158 weight class) and Kyung Ho Kang (ranked 187 p4p, 233 weight class). The key to victory for Slade Sutton has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Slade Sutton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kyung Ho Kang! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sutton is looking to clinch but Kang is avoiding it.
Kang swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. A momentary lapse in concentration from Sutton enables Kang to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sutton manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Kang stands up from Sutton's guard - Kang perhaps looking for a knockout. Sutton is looking to clinch but Kang is avoiding it.
Kang drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Sutton defends it well. Some wild striking there from Sutton.
Kang shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kang showed some decent athleticism there. Kang working over Sutton with some ground and pound. Sutton looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sutton taking some punishment here, with Kang in his half guard. Sutton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kang on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sutton pushes Kang off and gets back to his feet. Kyung Ho Kang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kang doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sutton counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Sutton lands a head kick!
Kang feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sutton is wriggling around but Kang manages to pass to half guard.
Sutton flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kang is taking a breather. Sutton says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Kang decides to stand and escape the position. Slade Sutton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Sutton is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kang working Sutton over with strikes. Kang lands with a punch from half guard. Sutton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sutton wants to control but Kang is keeping busy.

Kang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kang scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Kang lands a big shot. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kang connects with a nice short shot to Sutton's temple. Oh, Sutton is hurt! He's hurt bad - Kang fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Sutton from any more punishment! Congratulations to Kang! Great finish!
