The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Monteiro finds it's target.
Monteiro fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ko needs to keep his hands up - Monteiro had a free shot at his head there.
Monteiro takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Ko shoots in looking for a takedown. Monteiro tries to sprawl out of it but Ko keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Monteiro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Monteiro appears to be looking for a big counter.
Seok Hyun Ko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Monteiro's waist but Monteiro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ko off to one side.
