Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kieran Chan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry Garcia! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia scores with a push kick. Garcia throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Garcia lands with a kick to the temple. Chan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Garcia bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Garcia throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Chan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Garcia throws a head kick that Chan semi-blocks.
It looks like Kieran Chan has been cut. Garcia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Chan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Garcia avoids it really well and circles away. Garcia now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Chan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia misses with a jab, cross combination.
Chan moves out of range of the body kick. Garcia lets loose with a powerful body kick. Chan will feel that in the morning. Garcia moves out of range of the body kick from Chan.
A bone on bone clash there as Chan blocks the leg kick.
Chan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Chan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garcia manages to avoid it. Garcia throws a wild combination but nothing lands. It looked like Chan was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Garcia. Chan definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Garcia looks for the body kick but Chan saw that one coming. Chan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Chan cracks Garcia with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Garcia works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chan misses the jab. A head kick from Garcia lands but Chan takes it in his stride. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Chan! Garcia is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
