Hughes controlling the action here. Cicerón is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hughes trying to control the action but Cicerón is working from the bottom.

Hughes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Cicerón preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Cicerón tries to get to full guard but Hughes has control of the leg. Hughes is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cicerón is trying to maintain the position but Hughes is very close to passing his half guard. Hughes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cicerón is just riding it out for now. Hughes eventually gives up the hold. Cicerón is refusing to be controlled, as Hughes sits in half guard. Cicerón controlling the position for now. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

We've been hearing good reports from Cicerón's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Cicerón is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hughes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hughes's back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Cicerón (4) vs (2) Hughes Cicerón has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hughes's body.
