Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jin Devil (ranked 3883 p4p, 3490 weight class) and Merab Murkovitch (ranked 208 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jin Devil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Merab Murkovitch! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murkovitch shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Devil tries to land a sweep but no joy. Murkovitch postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Murkovitch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Murkovitch engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Devil wants to sweep but no luck. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Devil is trying to keep Murkovitch in close.
Devil utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Murkovitch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Devil has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Murkovitch has managed to get both his arms back between Devil's legs - danger averted. Murkovitch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Devil misses with a takedown and Murkovitch counters with a single leg into guard. Devil didn't expect that. Devil is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Devil controls Murkovitch momentarily but Murkovitch frees himself. Devil looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Murkovitch slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Murkovitch throws a big right hand that misses. Murkovitch sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Murkovitch darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Devil works his way to full guard. Good work. Murkovitch's corner is telling him to maintain position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Murkovitch trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Merab Murkovitch dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Devil tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Murkovitch defends well and Devil ends up having to push Murkovitch into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Devil decides to pull guard. Merab Murkovitch has got the better of the ground game so far. Murkovitch controls from within his opponent's guard. Murkovitch pushing down on Devil's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Devil is trying to control but can't.
Murkovitch is taking a breather. Devil says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Murkovitch thows a huge punch but Devil dodges it nicely.
Murkovitch passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Devil! Murkovitch controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Devil in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Murkovitch lands a nice shot to the head. Devil working to try and regain half guard.
Murkovitch lands with some strikes. Devil is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Murkovitch unloading with bombs! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Murkovitch controlling from mount. Murkovitch pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Devil sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Murkovitch seems to be working for a kimura but Devil defends the submission attempt. Murkovitch is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Merab Murkovitch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Devil gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Murkovitch counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Devil! The referee asks Murkovitch politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Murkovitch prefers to stall for the moment though. Murkovitch creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Devil wants to control but Murkovitch postures up. A lull in the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Let's hope that Murkovitch has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Murkovitch's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Murkovitch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Devil tries to control Murkovitch's body but Murkovitch pushes him off. Devil squirms to his side and now Murkovitch has his back! Devil tries to roll but Murkovitch sticks to his back.
Murkovitch is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Devil. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Devil tries to escape but Murkovitch has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Murkovitch has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Devil is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

And that's the end of the fight! Merab Murkovitch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Murkovitch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
