Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Doo Ho Choi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Khadizhat Dzhalalutdinov! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Choi fails with a takedown attempt. Choi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dzhalalutdinov has his takedown stuffed so Choi counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Dzhalalutdinov manages to escape and get back to his feet.

and Dzhalalutdinov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Choi lands a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dzhalalutdinov is trying to control the position but Choi postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Choi preventing the sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Choi gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Choi shoots in for a double leg but Dzhalalutdinov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dzhalalutdinov makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! We've been told by Choi's head coaches at Pepper\'s Fitness & MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Dzhalalutdinov wants to clinch. Dzhalalutdinov darts in looking for a takedown but Choi gets double underhooks and turns Dzhalalutdinov into the cage. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Choi, as that shot connected.
Dzhalalutdinov fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A chopping leg kick lands by Dzhalalutdinov. Choi throws a head kick that half lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Choi dives in and scores a takedown into Dzhalalutdinov's guard. Dzhalalutdinov looking to control.
Dzhalalutdinov looks winded! Dzhalalutdinov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Choi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Choi wants to get up but he can't break Dzhalalutdinov's closed guard. Choi working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Doo Ho Choi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Choi lands a leg kick that knocks Dzhalalutdinov off balance momentarily. Dzhalalutdinov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Choi's waist but Choi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dzhalalutdinov off to one side. Dzhalalutdinov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Choi takes the fight into the clinch. Choi scores with a shoulder strike. Choi lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Choi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Choi scores with a shot to the side of Dzhalalutdinov's head.
Dzhalalutdinov is rocked! Choi lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Dzhalalutdinov is still on wobbly legs! Can Choi finish him? Dzhalalutdinov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Choi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dzhalalutdinov to the mat. Dzhalalutdinov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! Dzhalalutdinov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Dzhalalutdinov wants to control from the top but Choi keeps moving. Khadizhat Dzhalalutdinov has got the better of the ground game so far.

Dzhalalutdinov has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Dzhalalutdinov seems to have recovered his senses. Choi gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dzhalalutdinov manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Choi keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Dzhalalutdinov is breathing heavily. Dzhalalutdinov is trying to break the clinch but Choi has him pressed against the cage. Choi lands an uppercut. Choi swats away the attempt to clinch by Dzhalalutdinov. Choi changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Choi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dzhalalutdinov can do to turn this around?

He catches Dzhalalutdinov napping and manages to drive through into side control! Choi stands up and we're back to a striking position. Choi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Dzhalalutdinov! Choi prevents Dzhalalutdinov from escaping the position. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dzhalalutdinov trying his best to control but Choi has mounted him. And that is the end of the round. Choi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dzhalalutdinov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Choi off and has taken his back! Choi is trying to get back to his feet but Dzhalalutdinov has full control of the position and if anything, Choi has just worked his way into a worse spot. Choi manages to escape to his feet. A punch lands to the side of Dzhalalutdinov 's head but he takes it in his stride. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Choi is defended easily by Dzhalalutdinov. Dzhalalutdinov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Choi defends it nicely.

Choi rushes Dzhalalutdinov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Choi lands a hook to the side of the head. Dzhalalutdinov letting Choi take a breather here. Choi has Dzhalalutdinov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dzhalalutdinov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Choi lands a body shot in the clinch.

Doo Ho Choi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Choi has clasped his hands together around Dzhalalutdinov's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Dzhalalutdinov struggling a bit here. Choi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dzhalalutdinov on the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Doo Ho Choi showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Choi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
