Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marquis Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Halameen Tony!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flores walks into a straight right hand from Tony.
Flores bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Marquis Flores seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flores tries to clinch
and Tony counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Flores throws a lazy body kick
and Tony counters with a nice uppercut.
Flores with a poor takedown
and Tony counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Flores thinking.
Flores takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tony feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Flores sprawling to the canvas! Flores rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tony finish him?!
It looks like Marquis Flores has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tony throws a looping overhand right but Flores ducks down to avoid it.
Tony stuffs the takedown attempt from Flores. Flores gets slowly back to his feet.
Flores misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marquis Flores. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Flores shoots in for a double leg but Tony sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Flores.
Flores takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Flores tries to clinch but Tony is having none of it.
Flores fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Flores tries to move into range but Tony moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Nice cross by Tony.
Tony throws a looping overhand right but Flores ducks down to avoid it.
Tony cracks Flores with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Tony has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Flores to stand back up!
Flores is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flores throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Tony counters with a crisp right hand that drops Flores! Tony lets Flores back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Oh Flores is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tony scores with a shot to the body.
Flores seems to have got his legs back now.
Tony darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Flores's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Tony before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Halameen Tony!
