Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dylan Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mo Man! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz misses with a head kick.
Diaz gets the takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz controlling the position. Diaz wants to control but Man is keeping him busy. Man is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Man throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Diaz throws a strike but Man avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Man has a closed guard, preventing Diaz from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Diaz wants to stand and escape but instead Man has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Man really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Diaz wants to stand and escape but Man is having none of it. Diaz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Man doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Diaz is tightening it up a little... Man has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Man reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Man taps out! Nice BJJ there by Diaz!
