Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pavo Kosar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Filipo Mirkovic! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kosar throws a shot to the body.
Kosar tries to land a body kick and Mirkovic finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Mirkovic lands a glancing blow to the side of Kosar's head.
It looks like Pavo Kosar has been cut. Mirkovic throws a body kick that misses and Kosar counters with a lovely straight right hand!

That's one minute gone in the round. Kosar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mirkovic. Kosar is looking to counter punch. Filipo Mirkovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mirkovic throws a leg kick that misses. Kosar misses with the body kick and Kosar takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kosar has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mirkovic. Kosar just misses with a punch to the body.
Mirkovic ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kosar moves away. Kosar looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kosar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mirkovic. Kosar scores with a shot to the body.
Mirkovic lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kosar thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Mirkovic if he has to take too many more of those.

Kosar connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Mirkovic slips under a jab. Mirkovic follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Kosar throws a big shot that misses. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mirkovic throws a nice looking combination but Kosar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Mirkovic throws a body punch but Kosar moves out of range. Kosar was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Kosar blocks a leg kick. As Mirkovic backs away, Kosar returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mirkovic scores with a sloppy right hand. Kosar should have avoided that one. Kosar ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Kosar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mirkovic. Kosar thinks about countering with a body kick. Mirkovic fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kosar checks it well. Kosar jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Nice uppercut there from Kosar. Kosar throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mirkovic sees it coming and avoids it easily. Mirkovic moves out of range of the body kick from Kosar.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mirkovic! But no joy. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Mirkovic scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mirkovic walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kosar drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Mirkovic swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kosar's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Filipo Mirkovic! An out of breath Filipo Mirkovic thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
