Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chengji Li (ranked 3241 p4p, 3164 weight class) and Jonah White (ranked 372 p4p, 363 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jonah White was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jonah White!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White misses with a body kick.
As White tries to get set, Li tries to push him back and clinch up but White manages to avoid the attempt.
White swats away the attempt to clinch by Li.
White connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Li's hands.
A big right from White misses.
Sloppy strikes from White. Those never looked like landing.
Li tries to close the distance and clinch but White swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Li connects with a nice short shot to White's temple.
Li has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Well, if Li is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
White wants to improve his position but Li is controlling well.
Li takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Li is nestled in close to White, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
White pushes Li off looking to stand but Li dives back in and keeps control.
Li is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Li uses his free foot to push down on White's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for White.
Li tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if White can do anything to dispel that myth.
Li is landing with some decent strikes but White is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Li. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Li cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Li lands a nice short elbow.

Li slips a nice elbow through White's hands, connecting with White's forehead.
White has hold of Li's hands but Li slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Li drops an elbow to the side of White's head.
Nice strikes from Li there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Li perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
White is not content to let Li control the position.

Li lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Li looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks White with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Li is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, White is hurt! He's hurt bad - Li fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save White from any more punishment! Congratulations to Li! Great finish!
