Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Mercer (ranked 1822 p4p, 23785 weight class) and Krzysztof Zakrzewski (ranked 182 p4p, 416 weight class). Mercer kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Why Can't We Be Friends by WAR. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 39 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Krzysztof Zakrzewski!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

The fight stays on the outside here - Zakrzewski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mercer digs a good hook to Zakrzewski's body.
Zakrzewski shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mercer pinned against the cage. Mercer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mercer lands a nice looking kick to the body. Zakrzewski takes a step back to recover.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zakrzewski is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Mercer circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mercer counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Zakrzewski is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Bobby Mercer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Krzysztof Zakrzewski.

It looks like Krzysztof Zakrzewski has been cut.

and Mercer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mercer works the jab nicely.

and Mercer counters with a crisp one two that drops Zakrzewski! Mercer thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Zakrzewski to his feet! Zakrzewski is in big trouble!

and Mercer counters with a nice low kick that buckles Zakrzewski's knee momentarily.
Zakrzewski is still on wobbly legs! Can Mercer finish him?
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Mercer! Zakrzewski is out on his feet! Mercer rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Zakrzewski is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Zakrzewski is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
