Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kari Mountain (ranked 3070 p4p, 18879 weight class) and Andor Kovacs (ranked 312 p4p, 474 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kari Mountain has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kari Mountain seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Mountain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 27 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andor Kovacs! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovacs throws a hook to the side of Mountain's head but Mountain sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Kovacs throws a hook but Mountain avoids it easily. Mountain checks the leg kick nicely there.
Mountain misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mountain looks to score with a jab to the body but Kovacs is just out of range. Kovacs wants to counter with a clinch but Mountain pushes him away. Mountain keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kovacs. Mountain with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kovacs throws a leg kick but Mountain sees it coming and checks it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mountain looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kovacs lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mountain backs up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kovacs tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Kovacs. Kovacs waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Mountain. Left hook, right uppercut from Mountain. Some wild striking there from Mountain.

Mountain checks a leg kick nicely. Mountain throws a jab when Kovacs was well out of range. A kick lands to the mid section there for Mountain.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kovacs throws a chopping leg kick but Mountain manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Mountain throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kovacs throws a leg kick and Mountain counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A chopping leg kick lands by Mountain. Kovacs jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mountain throws a hook but Kovacs blocks it. Kovacs throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mountain moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Mountain takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kovacs tries a low kick but Mountain avoids it. Mountain looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kovacs throws a hook but Mountain avoids it easily. Mountain lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A combination from Mountain does no damage. Kovacs tries to counter by closing the distance. Mountain walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kovacs checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Mountain throws a series of punches but Kovacs avoids them all with ease. Kovacs tries a head kick but it misses.
Mountain connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kovacs. Kovacs circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Mountain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kovacs circles away quickly and effectively. Some bone on bone action there as Mountain checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Kovacs misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Mountain throws a series of punches but Kovacs moves out of range. Kovacs only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Kovacs swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Mountain counter with a right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kovacs avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kovacs throws a head kick that misses. Mountain pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kovacs back to the cage. Mountain follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Mountain scores with a jab to the head.

Kovacs fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mountain is out of range. Mountain will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Mountain jabs Kovacs to the body, keeping him at a distance. Mountain misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kari Mountain is winning the standup battle so far. Mountain tests Kovacs's chin there with a solid looking shot. Mountain clobbers Kovacs with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Mountain sizes up Kovacs with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Nice defenses there by Kovacs. Kovacs throws a poor cross that misses
and Mountain counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A slapping leg kick lands for Mountain.

Mountain is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Kovacs fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Kovacs keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kovacs was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Mountain throws a right hand that Kovacs ducks under and follows up with a left that Kovacs also avoids with ease. A head kick misses from Kovacs. Mountain checks the leg kick nicely there.

Mountain stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Kovacs throws a combination that misses and Mountain counters with a one-two to the body. Mountain throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kovacs blocks the body kick.

Kari Mountain dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Kovacs looks to score with a jab to the body but Mountain is just out of range. It connects and Mountain has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kovacs misses with an uppercut. Mountain saw that one coming. Mountain displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kovacs throws out the jab. Mountain moves out of range of the leg kick from Kovacs. Mountain swinging wildly here.

A head kick by Kovacs misses and Mountain counters with a series of strikes. Kovacs will be more careful next time no doubt. The fighters circle momentarily. Kovacs darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Kari Mountain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mountain lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kovacs has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kovacs and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mountain misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kovacs is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Mountain misses with a kick to the body.

Kovacs motions for Mountain to come forward. Kovacs throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. A counter left hand to the body from Mountain misses its target. Mountain throws a head kick that misses. Kovacs gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mountain. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mountain throws a hook but Kovacs blocks it. Kovacs throws a lazy uppercut
and Mountain counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Mountain throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Kovacs counter with a right hand. Kovacs will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Mountain throws a big counter combination but Kovacs scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Andor Kovacs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mountain throws a hook but Kovacs avoids it easily. Kovacs misses with a leg kick and Mountain counters with a leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! Kari Mountain showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mountain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
