Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toe Licker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ronin Huynh!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huynh throws a right and a left that both miss.
We've been told by Licker's head coaches at Vancouver Island Fight Club that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Licker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Huynh doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
A slow jab from Huynh misses its intended target.
Licker fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Licker swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Huynh.
Huynh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Licker smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Licker missing with a left hand there. Huynh was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Huynh looks to land a combination. Licker sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Huynh looks to throw the jab but Licker is out of range.
Huynh takes one on the chin but seems OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Huynh stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Some wild striking there from Licker.
Licker ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Huynh moves out of range of the strikes.
Huynh misses the jab.
Licker scores with a jab to the head.
Huynh with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Licker to score with a decent uppercut.
Licker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Huynh throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Licker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Huynh moves away.
Huynh looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Huynh avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Huynh defending well as Licker loads up on a big left hand.
Huynh takes one on the button.
Licker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Huynh drops Licker with a beautiful combination! Licker stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Huynh is looking for the KO!
Licker is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Huynh swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Licker scores with a nice right hand.
Licker throws a good cross that connects.
Licker looks to score with a jab to the body but Huynh is just out of range.
Licker jabs Huynh to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Huynh throws an off balance right hand
letting Licker counter with a right hand.
Licker takes a swing at Huynh's ribcage but misses.
Licker avoids the body shot from Huynh.
Licker misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Huynh.
Huynh is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Licker with a body shot.
Huynh clobbers Licker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A jab from Huynh finds it's way through Licker's defenses.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huynh scores with a crisp jab that stopped Licker in his tracks.
Licker gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Oh Licker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Huynh throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Licker to counter with a crisp jab.
Licker scores with a shot to the body.
Licker seems to have got his legs back now.
Licker gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Huynh gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Licker is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ronin Huynh!
The defeated Toe Licker had this to say: 'Ahhh well that was fucked. Ill be back in a couple weeks. Da Jumba keep me active'.
