Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jace Robinson (ranked 2605 p4p, 4442 weight class) and Octavio Maynard (ranked 308 p4p, 461 weight class). Octavio Maynard is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jace Robinson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Octavio Maynard!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurstr�m and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maynard.
Maynard throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Robinson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Maynard is in Robinson's guard.

Robinson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Robinson wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Maynard slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Robinson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Robinson tries to get out of the position.

Maynard tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Robinson defends well and Maynard ends up having to push Robinson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Maynard uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Robinson.
Maynard lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Maynard swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Maynard fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jace Robinson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Octavio Maynard.

Maynard shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Robinson lands a big uppercut and Maynard crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Maynard looks OK. Robinson waves Maynard back to his feet!
Robinson fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Maynard out cold! Brutal finish!
