Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tripp Melendez (ranked 2845 p4p, 25498 weight class) and Manuel Barren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Manuel Barren looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tripp Melendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Manuel Barren!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez shoots in looking for a takedown but Barren manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Melendez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Barren looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Barren misses with a double jab.
Melendez seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Melendez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Melendez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barren looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Barren throws a push kick but Melendez slaps the foot to one side.
Barren closes the distance but Melendez moves to the side
and Melendez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Melendez shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Barren has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Melendez circles away from the clinch attempt.
A counter left hand to the body from Melendez misses its target.
Melendez scores with a jab to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barren moves forwards but Melendez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Barren blocks a head kick by Melendez.
Barren is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Melendez lands a big uppercut and Barren crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Barren looks OK. Melendez waves Barren back to his feet!
Barren is rocked!
It looks like Manuel Barren has been cut.
Melendez drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Barren's head, knocking him out cold! Melendez is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tripp Melendez!
