Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Legend (ranked 2205 p4p, 25026 weight class) and Mickey Valentino (ranked 212 p4p, 448 weight class). Mickey Valentino acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacob Legend! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mickey Valentino! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valentino cracks Legend with a good jab. Valentino throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Legend counters with a nice double leg into side control. Valentino won't be happy with that. Legend could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Legend tries for a kimura but Valentino is defending well. Legend moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Valentino wants to control but Legend postures up. Valentino seems a little lost for a moment, as Legend dominates the positioning. Valentino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Legend. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Legend passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Valentino! Legend sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valentino is looking to get to half guard. Valentino tries to hold on but Legend postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Legend has hold of Valentino's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Valentino manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Legend has control of Valentino's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Valentino regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Legend takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Valentino keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Legend tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Valentino really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Legend has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Legend working for a submission but Valentino is keeping him at bay. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Legend sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Legend has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Valentino is forced to tap!
