Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danny Stewart (ranked 940 p4p, 913 weight class) and Dean Gaines (ranked 118 p4p, 114 weight class). Stewart comes to the cage accompanied by Tupac - Hit 'Em Up. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dean Gaines was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dean Gaines!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaines keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stewart.
Gaines uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stewart.
Stewart connects with a right hand. Gaines shakes it off.
A slow jab from Gaines misses its intended target.
Gaines swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Stewart counters with a one-two to the body.
Stewart connects with a right hand. Gaines shakes it off.
Gaines pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Stewart counters with a nice uppercut.
Stewart keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stewart rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gaines moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Stewart keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Despite the aggression on Gaines's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Stewart throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gaines on the side of the head.
Stewart moves out of range as Gaines strikes.

and Stewart counters with a nice body shot.
A nice combination there by Gaines.
It looks like Danny Stewart has been cut.

A swing and a miss from Stewart.
Gaines throws out a counter right but Stewart avoids it with no problem.
Stewart digs a good body shot into Gaines's ribs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gaines rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stewart counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Stewart steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gaines.

Stewart throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gaines on the side of the head.
Gaines punishes Stewart's body with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Stewart has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Stewart throws the left hand but Gaines avoids the punch easily.
Stewart is looking to clinch but Gaines is avoiding it.
Stewart throws a lazy uppercut
and Gaines counters with a three punch combo that has Stewart backing up. Stewart nods at Gaines to acknowledge the strikes.
The fighters circling - Stewart throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gaines misses with an uppercut
and Stewart connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Gaines throws a right hand that misses
and Stewart connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stewart jabs Gaines right on the nose. Gaines blinks but takes it well.
Gaines misses with a hook. Stewart ducked under it nicely.
Stewart smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Oooooh!!! Stewart has knocked Gaines down with a huge combo! Stewart steps away and waves a wobbly Gaines back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Gaines is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stewart is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Gaines flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Gaines is out cold! Stewart holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
