Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Marcus Kane (ranked 4304 p4p, 4924 weight class) and Hannibal Jim (ranked 454 p4p, 479 weight class). Kane comes to the ring accompanied by We Own It. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcus Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hannibal Jim!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kane gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jim stalling in the clinch but Kane improves position.
Kane leaning his opponent against the ropes.

Kane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've been hearing reports that Kane has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Jim fails in his attempt to clinch.
As Jim looks to move away, Kane throws a big counter combo but Jim just gets out of the way.
Jim takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Kane avoids the head kick by Jim.
It looked like Kane wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Jim throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kane.
Jim swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kane counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Kane takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Jim avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jim lands with a nice combination. Kane backs away looking to recover.

Jim tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Kane manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A punch lands to the side of Kane 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kane takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Jim misses with a body punch
and Kane counters with a thumping low kick.
Kane connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jim throws a head kick but Kane moves out of range.
Jim fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kane takes the fight into the clinch.
Kane is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Kane blocking some punches.

Jim has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kane content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Kane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kane pushes Jim up against the ropes in a clinch.
Jim wants to break free but Kane has control.
Kane is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Kane manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kane moves into the clinch successfully.

Kane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kane fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jim, pushing him back against the ropes.
Jim with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Jim has had enough of the clinch but Kane keeps him there for the moment.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Kane dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fight stays on the outside here - Jim looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kane swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Kane feints and then cracks Jim's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jim down.

Kane clinches up against the ropes.
A frustrated look appears on Jim's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Jim has had enough of the clinch but Kane keeps him there for the moment.
Kane content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Kane manages to break the clinch.
Marcus Kane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kane gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jim tries to clinch but Kane moves out of range.

Kane gets a clinch.

Kane breaks the clinch.

Jim rushes Kane and presses him up against the ropes.
Jim tries to throw a body punch but Kane avoids it by throwing Jim back against the ropes.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jim feints a jab promting Kane to slip. Jim then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kane slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kane forces Jim back against the ropes and clinches.
Marcus Kane has scored more points in the clinch so far.
Jim looking to stall.

Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jim swinging wildly here.

Kane moves into the clinch successfully.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jim wants to get back to striking at distance but Kane won't allow it.
Jim tries to circle away but Kane has him pinned against the ropes.
Kane blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Kane.

Kane manages to break the clinch.
Jim lands a nice shot that snaps Kane's head back.
Kane tests Jim's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kane lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jim circles away quickly and effectively.
Jim moves in looking to clinch but Kane pushes him off.
Kane circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kane lands a jab to the nose.
Kane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Kane moves into the clinch successfully.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Kane dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kane tries a head kick but it misses.
Jim tries to clinch up.
Marcus Kane is winning the standup battle so far.
Kane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kane is looking for a counter combo.
No joy there for Jim, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jim throws the kick towards the body but Kane avoids it.
Kane lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jim will feel that in the morning.
Kane throws a body punch but Jim moves out of range.
Jim is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Kane moves into range and clinches up with Jim.
Jim is looking to control Kane's arms but Kane gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jim has his back to the ropes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kane moves into the clinch.

Kane breaks the clinch.
Jim tries to clinch but Kane is having none of it.

Kane fakes the leg kick and cracks Jim in the body.
Jim doesn't manage to clinch there - Kane circles away.
Jim tries a head kick but it misses.
As Jim looks to move away, Kane throws a big counter combo but Jim just gets out of the way.

Kane clinches up with Jim and pushes him back against the ropes.
Jim misses with a punch to the body.
Kane is working Jim over against the ropes.

Kane pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kane has closed the distance and engaged Jim in a clinch.
Jim is trying to break the clinch but Kane has him pressed against the ropes.

Kane manages to break the clinch.
Jim wants to clinch.
Kane went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kane rushes Jim and presses him up against the ropes.

Kane breaks from the clinch.

Kane instigates a clinch.
Jim letting Kane take a breather here.
Kane has Jim pressed against the ropes.
Kane keeps control of Jim as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kane connects with a nasty looking knee right to Jim's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Hannibal Jim has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Marcus Kane is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kane on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Marcus Kane showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kane has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
