Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Silva (ranked 3331 p4p, 2590 weight class) and Steven Seagal (ranked 360 p4p, 301 weight class). Seagal comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Route 23 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seagal throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Silva walks into a straight right hand from Seagal.
Sloppy strikes from Seagal. Those never looked like landing.
Silva is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Seagal.
Steven Seagal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva scores with a body shot.
Silva rushes Seagal and presses him up against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Silva.
Seagal is trying to maintain a safe position but Silva gets an underhook and turns Seagal into the cage.
Silva stalls.
Silva drags the fight down to the ground.
Silva is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Seagal is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Seagal doesn't defend quickly enough and Silva has managed to lock this one up! Can Seagal escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Silva on a fantastic submission victory.
