Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maki Homma (ranked 4686 p4p, 25100 weight class) and Shaun Wallace (ranked 468 p4p, 512 weight class). Shaun Wallace will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace looks to throw the jab but Homma is out of range.
Wallace takes a swing at Homma's ribcage but misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Homma tries to pull guard but Wallace forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Wallace tries to kick Homma off in order to stand up. Homma Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wallace can do anything to dispel that myth.
Homma looks up at the clock and then as Wallace takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Homma smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Homma is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Wallace is trying to escape and Homma transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Wallace is forced to tap! Nice work there by Homma! Very nice indeed!
