Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Donnelly (ranked 3368 p4p, 1462 weight class) and George Wilder (ranked 370 p4p, 182 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Wilder's choice of entrance music: The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Craig Donnelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, George Wilder! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donnelly thows a left - swing and a miss! Donnelly throws out a leg kick but Wilder moves out of range and Donnelly only half commits. Donnelly shoots in looking for a takedown. Wilder tries to sprawl out of it but Donnelly keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wilder manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Donnelly misses with a hook. Wilder ducked under it nicely. Wilder looks like he wants to counter punch here. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Donnelly is defended easily by Wilder. Donnelly closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wilder to the mat! Wilder manages to get full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilder seems keen to control Donnelly's posture. Donnelly drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wilder dives on top into guard. Wilder cracks Donnelly with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Donnelly had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wilder defends it easily. Wilder got a little sloppy there for a moment and Donnelly has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wilder has managed to get both his arms back between Donnelly's legs - danger averted. Wilder makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Donnelly is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wilder controls from within his opponent's guard. Wilder connects with a couple of short punches. Wilder working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Donnelly's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wilder sitting in guard, not really doing much. Donnelly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wilder slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Wilder cracks Donnelly with an elbow. That is naaassty.
It looks like Craig Donnelly has been cut. Wilder working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). George Wilder! A less than humble George Wilder misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
