Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kulma Rauta (ranked 280 p4p, 292 weight class) and Doric Dienekes (ranked 32 p4p, 37 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Kulma Rauta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doric Dienekes! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rauta scores with a decent looking hook. Rauta throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dienekes with the counter takedown but Rauta avoids it easily. Jab from Rauta. Rauta throws a leg kick and Dienekes counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dienekes performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Dienekes wants to control but Rauta is keeping him busy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dienekes is pressing down on Rauta's thigh, looking to free his foot. Rauta is holding on for now. Dienekes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rauta keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rauta wants to get back to full guard. Dienekes thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Dienekes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rauta does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Rauta is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Dienekes throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dienekes is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dienekes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Dienekes is looking to advance position but Rauta has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Dienekes sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Dienekes works his way to full guard. Good work. Dienekes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rauta tries to free his leg and advance position but Dienekes is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dienekes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rauta takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dienekes wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dienekes moves into full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dienekes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. That was a close round but I would say that Kulma Rauta will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Rauta swings widly with a right hand
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. and Dienekes counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rauta keeping moving, preventing Dienekes from controlling successfully. Rauta wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Rauta scores with a shot to the body.
Dienekes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rauta. Rauta misses with a looping left. Dienekes is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Dienekes walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rauta looks to land a left hand but Dienekes moved out of range nicely. Dienekes changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Rauta misses with a hook. Dienekes ducked under it nicely. Dienekes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Dienekes staying out of range there. Dienekes takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Rauta scoring well with a low kick there.
Rauta tries to land a body kick and Dienekes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rauta won't be happy with that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dienekes connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Rauta some visible discomfort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dienekes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dienekes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Rauta is looking to reverse the position. Dienekes lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rauta down.
Dienekes tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rauta's legs. Rauta can't do much from the bottom here. Dienekes sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rauta is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Rauta wants to get back to his feet but Dienekes drags him back down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dienekes controlling the position from side mount. Dienekes in side control, throwing shots but Rauta defends. Dienekes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rauta is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rauta pushes Dienekes away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dienekes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Rauta wants to control but Dienekes postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sloppy strikes there by Dienekes. Dienekes trying to control the action but Rauta is working from the bottom. Rauta is looking for a sweep. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Doric Dienekes will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round! Rauta misses with an uppercut. Dienekes tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Dienekes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A lazy body kick from Rauta and Dienekes counters with a shoot takedown. Rauta fights it but they end up in guard. Rauta looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Rauta has momentary wrist control but Dienekes slips an elbow through the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dienekes looking to sit in guard and control but Rauta gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Rauta has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rauta slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dienekes is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dienekes is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rauta off and has taken his back! Dienekes is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Doric Dienekes has got the better of the ground game so far. Rauta defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Dienekes's arms. Dienekes struggling to keep hold of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rauta covering up well under a series of strikes from Dienekes. Well, with Dienekes on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Rauta is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Rauta just trying to survive but Dienekes is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Rauta is covering up but some of the strikes from Dienekes are getting through and doing damage.
Rauta tries to escape but Dienekes has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Dienekes punches Rauta on the ear. Dienekes is not going to allow Rauta to sit and survive in this position. Dienekes is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Dienekes controlling from the back. Even with his hooks in, Dienekes manages to miss with strikes from the back. Dienekes is looking to control Rauta but Rauta is wriggling around and keeping busy. Dienekes lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Will Dienekes go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Dienekes scores with punches to the body. Dienekes throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Dienekes has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Rauta has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Dienekes is trying to control but Rauta is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Dienekes has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rauta regains half guard. Dienekes trying to control the action but Rauta is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Doric Dienekes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dienekes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
