Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Almanzor Sabet (ranked 4012 p4p, 4902 weight class) and Marcelo Lucero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcelo Lucero is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Almanzor Sabet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Lucero! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucero closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lucero lands in his opponent's guard. Lucero stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sabet swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lucero is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Sabet is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Sabet has escaped and now he's on top!

 That's one minute gone in the round. Lucero tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sabet wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Sabet tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Lucero is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Lucero is still trying to improve position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lucero regains half guard.

 The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Lucero actively working from the bottom here.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lucero manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sabet's best efforts.
Sabet moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Lucero. Lucero is positioning himself to get back to half guard. A close round but Marcelo Lucero will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Sabet rushes Lucero and presses him up against the cage. Sabet is pressed up against the cage. Lucero has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sabet down to the mat. Sabet avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
