And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 69 wins and 56 losses; Helio Gracias!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

McCain is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gracias's half guard.

McCain seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gracias for as long as he can get away with.

We've been hearing good reports from McCain's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gracias working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on McCain's thigh. McCain counters though and makes it back to full guard.
McCain trying to control the position.

McCain has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gracias is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for McCain.

McCain prevents Gracias from improving position.

McCain might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gracias manages to capitalize on a mistake by McCain to take his back!
