Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tapad Amiga (ranked 23334 p4p, 23152 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Richard John Salvacion acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 37 - 79 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 54 - 66 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Amiga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salvacion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Amiga manages to step out the way in time. Salvacion misses with a takedown and Amiga counters with a body kick. Salvacion displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Amiga. And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Amiga manages to step out the way in time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga slaps away a takedown attempt from Salvacion, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense. Tapad Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion. Amiga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amiga wants it to stay on the feet. Salvacion goes for a double leg but Amiga avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Amiga continues to drive forward. Amiga jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Nice sprawl there from Salvacion as Amiga shoots in. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Amiga as he jumps to the side. Amiga throws a quick counter kick to the body but Salvacion avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvacion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amiga circles away. Salvacion will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Amiga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amiga wants it to stay on the feet. Amiga shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Amiga showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Amiga is working away from the top position though. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Amiga in particular looking to stall.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Amiga's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tapad Amiga dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Amiga shoots and misses and Salvacion counters with a nice body kick.
Salvacion defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Amiga. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Amiga is defended easily by Salvacion. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tapad Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Salvacion gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Amiga regains guard.
Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Salvacion content to stall in guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Amiga misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Salvacion with a poor takedown and Amiga counters with a head kick. Salvacion closes the distance and clinches up with Amiga, looking for a takedown. Salvacion pushes Amiga against the cage but Amiga circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. And Amiga counters with a quick kick to the body but Salvacion blocks it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amiga has a takedown stuffed. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Richard John Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Amiga throws a quick counter kick to the body but Salvacion avoids it. Amiga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.

Salvacion keeping hold of Amiga's head, controlling as best he can. Amiga takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

And that's the end of the fight! Tapad Amiga showed his dominance in that final round. Well Amiga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
