Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Way Nada (ranked 23285 p4p, 23080 weight class) and Kugus Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 59 - 61 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 61 - 53 - 7, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kugus Amiga!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Nada tries to sprawl but Amiga drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Nada controlling the position well.
Amiga controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nada trying to hold on to Amiga's head to control him but Amiga postures up.
Nada manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amiga is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nada controlling Amiga's posture.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Nada.

Amiga trying to remain calm as Nada controls from the top position.
Nada working away.

Nada controls the position from side control.
Amiga tries to buck Nada off but Nada is having none of it.
Nada taking a breather here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nada closes the distance and clinches up with Amiga, looking for a takedown. Nada pushes Amiga against the cage but Amiga circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Amiga drives through with a takedown into Nada's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nada holds on and takes a little breather.
Amiga's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Nada is adopting a defensive guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nada utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Way Nada will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Nada drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Amiga is not content to let Nada control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Amiga's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nada controlling from side mount.
Way Nada overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Nada trying to control the action but Amiga is working from the bottom.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Nada shoots for a takedown but Amiga saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Amiga follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Nada closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Amiga did well to prevent Nada getting side control.

Amiga is controlling Nada's trapped leg to prevent Nada from advancing to side control.
Nada not doing much here.
Nada trying to control from half guard but Amiga is working away.
Still in half guard, Nada seems content to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Amiga desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Nada seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Nada shoots in and bounces Amiga off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Way Nada dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Nice sprawl there from Nada as Amiga shoots in.
Nada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Amiga defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nada bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Nada wants to control but Amiga is keeping him busy.
Amiga struggling a bit here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Amiga is looking for a sweep.
Nada wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amiga keeps working.
Nada controlling the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Amiga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Amiga wants it to stay on the feet.
Amiga follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Nada fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Way Nada. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Amiga closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nada to the mat! Nada manages to get full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nada throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Amiga trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kugus Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Amiga is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Way Nada is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Amiga throwing strikes from guard but Nada blocks nicely.

Amiga is fighting to break Nada's control of his arms but Nada is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Way Nada.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nada, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
