Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Higanti Libat (ranked 23027 p4p, 23313 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 47 - 70 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Higanti Libat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 64 - 55 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Libat shoots in and gets a takedown into Buut's guard. Buut wants to sweep but no luck. Buut has control of Libat's left arm, preventing Libat from doing any damage. Libat trying to control the position from guard on top but Buut is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Libat wants to stand but Buut has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Libat not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Libat. Nice takedown defense from Libat. No joy for Buut on that attempt. And Libat counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Buut fails with a takedown attempt. Libat shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Buut manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Libat controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Buut holds on and takes a little breather. Let's hope that Buut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Buut working for a triangle but Libat defends it easily.
Libat not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Higanti Libat dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Buut scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Buut is thwarting Libat's attempts to control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

It appears Libat was looking to counter with a kick there. Buut gets a takedown into half guard. Buut with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Libat blocking the ground and pound attempt from Buut. Buut sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Libat defending well though. Well, if Buut is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Walay Buut showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Buut shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Libat sprawls well. Libat wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Buut gets slowly back to his feet. Libat is looking to counter with a body kick. Libat tries to score a power double leg takedown but Buut sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Libat somewhat.

It appears Libat was looking to counter with a kick there. Buut closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Libat quickly recovers to half guard. Buut has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Libat is positioning himself well to prevent Buut advancing to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Libat is looking for a sweep. Buut is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Libat is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Buut wants to pass the guard but Libat is defending well. Still in half guard, Buut seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Libat is looking to improve his position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Buut performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Buut throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Libat's waist but Libat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Buut off to one side. Libat quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Higanti Libat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Libat shoots for a double leg takedown but Buut sprawls well. He's pushed Libat's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Buut displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Libat. Buut thinks about the counter body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A momentary lapse in concentration from Libat enables Buut to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Libat manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Buut won't allow Libat to sweep him here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Libat has Buut pulled in close to control his posture.
And that's the end of the fight! Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Buut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
