The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yilmaz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Yilmaz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Albertini.

Yilmaz drops Albertini with a beautiful combination! Albertini stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Yilmaz is looking for the KO!

Yilmaz throws out a loose jab but Albertini uses good head movement to avoid it.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Albertini, as that shot connected.

and Albertini makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Yilmaz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Albertini moves into range and connects with a jab.

Albertini has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Albertini drops Yilmaz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Yilmaz looks back up at him and smiles so Albertini waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Yilmaz is rocked!
Dag Yilmaz's cut is getting worse.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Albertini throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Oh Yilmaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Albertini throws an uppercut from hell that sends Yilmaz clean off his feet! He's out cold! Albertini stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

A determined Michele Albertini didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
