Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Petcharon Darawan (ranked 3065 p4p, 1888 weight class) and Ching Chang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chang has chosen Hells Bells as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Petcharon Darawan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ching Chang!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darawan forces Chang back against the cage and clinches.
Darawan prevents Chang from breaking the clinch.
Darawan misses with a hook to the ribs.
Darawan lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Chang.
Darawan is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Chang is defending well for now.
A short right from Chang on the inside.
Darawan lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chang backwards.

Darawan with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Darawan digs a right hand into Chang's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Chang's gas tank.

Darawan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Darawan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chang.
Darawan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Chang throws a combination. Darawan tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Darawan tries a head kick but it misses.
Darawan is looking to clinch but Chang is avoiding it.
Chang appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Chang throws an off balance right hand
and Darawan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Darawan throws a head kick but Chang moves out of range.
Darawan throws a big shot that misses.

Darawan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chang sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Chang looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Darawan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Darawan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Some bone on bone action there as Chang checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
A nice side step and Chang releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

A quick step to the side and Darawan tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Darawan counters with a crisp one two that drops Chang! Darawan thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Chang to his feet! Chang is in big trouble!
Darawan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chang misses the shot to the body.
Nice body punch from Chang.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Petcharon Darawan dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Darawan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Chang counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Darawan slips a straight right by Chang.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Darawan lands a leg kick that knocks Chang off balance momentarily.
Chang throws out a loose jab but Darawan uses good head movement to avoid it.
Darawan throws a quick counter head kick but Chang was just out of range.

Darawan throws a big counter combination but Chang scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Darawan fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Chang checks it well.
Darawan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Chang throws out the jab.
It looked like Darawan was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Chang counters with a straight right hand.
Ching Chang seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Darawan misses with a hook. Chang ducked under it nicely.
Darawan misses with a leg kick.
Darawan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chang on the side of the head.

Chang takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Chang counters with a right hand to the body.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Darawan tries a head kick but it misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Petcharon Darawan dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Chang punishes Darawan's body with a nice straight punch.
Chang throws an overhand right that lands on Darawan's shoulder, as Darawan tries to avoid the shot.

Darawan fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Chang is out of range.
As Darawan backs off Chang throws a huge counter combo but Darawan manages to avoid it all.
Darawan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chang at a distance.
Darawan has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Chang wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Darawan has him pressed against the cage.

Darawan tries to throw a body punch but Chang avoids it by throwing Darawan back against the cage.
Ching Chang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Chang throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Chang counters with a nice uppercut.

Chang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Darawan manages to avoid it.
Darawan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Darawan slips under a jab.
As Chang backs away, Darawan returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Chang throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Darawan scores with a decent looking hook.

Chang throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Darawan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Darawan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Darawan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Chang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chang throws an overhand right that lands on Darawan's shoulder, as Darawan tries to avoid the shot.
Darawan throws a quick counter kick to the body but Chang avoids it.
Darawan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Darawan takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Chang ducks under a wild hook from Darawan.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Ching Chang.
I think Darawan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
