Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wulong Li (ranked 2781 p4p, 3405 weight class) and Jun Romero (ranked 316 p4p, 375 weight class). Jun Romero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wulong Li!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jun Romero!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Li tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Romero is in Li's guard.
Romero scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Romero is looking to work some ground and pound but Li has wrist control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Romero's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Romero throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Romero content to stall in guard here.
Li has control of Romero's left arm, preventing Romero from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Li shoots in for a double leg but Romero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Romero shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Li sprawls well. Li wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Romero gets slowly back to his feet.
Wulong Li has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jun Romero.
Li shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Romero is trying to defend but Li finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Li wants to lay and pray for a moment but Romero keeps working.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Li lands a nice short elbow.

Li postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Romero covers up, he's hurt! Li keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Li and the ref steps in to end the fight! Li can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wulong Li!
