And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 2 losses; Juanito Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Hill dives in and scores a takedown into Escobar's guard.

Escobar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hill gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hill wants to control from the top but Escobar keeps moving.
Hill sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Escobar's guard.

Hill is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Escobar defends it well.
Hill wants to lay and pray for a moment but Escobar keeps working.
Escobar makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Escobar.

Escobar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Escobar has his foot on Hill's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hill works his way back into a safe position though.

Hill got a little sloppy there for a moment and Escobar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hill has managed to get both his arms back between Escobar's legs - danger averted.

Hill is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Escobar is trying to escape and Hill transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Escobar is forced to tap! Nice work there by Hill! Very nice indeed!
