This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 17 wins and 11 losses; Kron Gracie! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 3 losses; Hero Complex! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Gracie dives in and scores a takedown into Complex's guard. Gracie's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gracie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gracie postures up.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. More hug and hope from Gracie. Complex trying to keep a closed guard but Gracie is proving a slippery customer.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gracie controls from within his opponent's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Complex is trying to control the position but Gracie postures up.
That's ten minutes gone in the round. Complex is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Gracie not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Complex looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Gracie has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Complex is pulling down on Gracie's head to control his posture. Gracie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Complex's guard. Complex trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Gracie manages to pass to mount!

That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Gracie controlling from mount. Complex is desperately trying to improve his position but Gracie has a good base and remains in mount. Complex keeps trying to improve his position. Gracie controlling from the full mount. Complex is controlling an arm, preventing Gracie from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
That's fourteen minutes gone in the round. Gracie controlling his opponent. Complex is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Gracie content just to control the position here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gracie wants to take Complex's back but he can't do it this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Gracie takes the fight on points by 5 to 0. Kron Gracie decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. |
