Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boone throws a poor cross that misses
and Roux counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Roux walks into a straight right hand from Boone.

Boone tries to clinch but Roux moves away
and Roux counters with a slapping leg kick.
Boone is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Roux uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boone.
Roux looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Boone throws a right hand that misses
and Roux counters with a three punch combo that has Boone backing up. Boone nods at Roux to acknowledge the strikes.

and Roux counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Roux circles away from the clinch attempt
and Boone takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Roux works the jab nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Roux makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Roux fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Boone on the side of the head.

Roux has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Boone finds it's way round the side to connect with Roux's head.
Boone moves to clinch but Roux breaks away
and Roux connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Boone sizes up Roux with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Remington Boone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That kick from Roux tenderised Boone's leg. Boone is trying to keep his angry face on.

Boone throws a jab when Roux was well out of range.
Roux uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Boone has time to react.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Roux counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Boone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boone rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Boone throws a hook to the side of Roux's head but Roux sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Roux connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Roux cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Roux counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Roux is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Boone can do to turn this around?
Boone scores with a crisp jab that stopped Roux in his tracks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Roux counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The crowd cheers as Roux lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boone doesn't seem phased though.

Boone has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
