Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Memnon Tithonus (ranked 1845 p4p, 2036 weight class) and Dillon Russo (ranked 192 p4p, 212 weight class). Tithonus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Nishaiar - Duhanakhar. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Dillon Russo!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tithonus gets tackled into the cage by Russo. Russo maintains the clinch.
Tithonus tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Russo smiles and moves away.
Russo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've been hearing reports that Tithonus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Russo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tithonus manages to avoid it.
Russo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tithonus moves away.
Russo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tithonus doesn't seem bothered though.
Russo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tithonus was well out of range. Poor timing from Russo.
Tithonus tries to counter by clinching up but Russo breaks away and moves out of range.
Tithonus shoots in for a takedown but Russo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Russo cracks Tithonus with a right hand to the side of the head.
Russo smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Russo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tithonus.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Memnon Tithonus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A jab from Russo finds it's way through Tithonus's defenses.
Tithonus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Tithonus takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Russo cracks Tithonus with a good jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Russo scores with a hook to the body. Tithonus takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Russo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tithonus takes one to the chin there.

Russo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tithonus stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Russo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Tithonus shoots in looking for a takedown but Russo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tithonus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dillon Russo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Russo scores with a sloppy right hand. Tithonus should have avoided that one.

Russo has Tithonus up against the cage in a clinch.

Tithonus decides to pull guard.
Russo is in close to Tithonus's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Russo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Russo chips away with some ground and pound.
Russo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Russo trying to control but Tithonus is working from the bottom.
Russo working some strikes from top position.
Tithonus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Russo manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tithonus advances to half guard.

Tithonus is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tithonus is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Russo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Tithonus prevents Russo from improving his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Russo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Tithonus is looking to advance position but Russo won't allow it.
Russo wants to improve his position but Tithonus is controlling well.

Tithonus is looking for a kimura here.

Russo is trying to control Tithonus's posture. Tithonus takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Russo! Tithonus is rotating here... this could be the end... Russo is out! Tithonus has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
