Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws out a loose jab but Frieberg uses good head movement to avoid it.
Frieberg moves away from the strike by Jones.
Frieberg swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Frieberg changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones regains half guard there - taking advantage of Frieberg's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Frieberg throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely.

Jones felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
