Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Grizzly Smuck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kebab Mabab!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mabab rushes Smuck and presses him up against the cage.
Smuck gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mabab.

Smuck breaks the clinch.
Mabab ducks right into an uppercut from Smuck.
Smuck misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A combination from Smuck does no damage.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mabab.

Smuck throws a right and a left that Mabab avoids nicely.
Smuck shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mabab eats them both and turns towards Smuck to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Smuck looks to land a combination but Mabab avoids it well.
Mabab throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Smuck seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mabab looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Donk. Smuck catches Mabab right on the button with a cross.
Mabab gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Smuck counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Grizzly Smuck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kebab Mabab.

No luck for Mabab with that takedown attempt.
Smuck misses with the combination.
Mabab feints the counter takedown.
Smuck misses with a two punch combination.
Mabab has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mabab there as he acknowledges the shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A right-left combo lands from Smuck.
Smuck avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Smuck misses with a series of wild punches.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Mabab! But no joy.

Mabab tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Smuck defends well and Mabab ends up having to push Smuck into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Smuck scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Mabab uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smuck.
Mabab slips a jab and a cross from Smuck.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Mabab tries to clinch there but Smuck circles away.
Smuck throws a combination that misses
and Mabab counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Mabab wants to pass the guard but Smuck is keeping the position.
Smuck wants to stand but Mabab is controlling the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Smuck's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Smuck defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mabab.
Smuck went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Mabab is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smuck sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Smuck comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
No joy there for Smuck, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

We've been informed that Mabab has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Mabab drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Grizzly Smuck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kebab Mabab.
Mabab tries to score a body lock takedown but Smuck shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Mabab is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Smuck is defending well.
Mabab is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Smuck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mabab goes for a double leg but Smuck avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smuck continues to drive forward.
Smuck throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mabab stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Smuck fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mabab manages to avoid it.
Smuck throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mabab throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smuck's waist but Smuck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mabab off to one side.
Smuck stuffs the takedown.
Smuck is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mabab can do to turn this around?

Mabab takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Smuck swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Mabab.
Mabab fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smuck, pushing him back against the cage.
Smuck breaks the clinch.
Grizzly Smuck is winning the standup battle so far.
Smuck misses with a double jab
and Mabab counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Smuck preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Smuck is looking to escape.
Mabab is thwarting Smuck's attempts to control the position.
Smuck is looking for a sweep. Mabab is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mabab with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Smuck wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Grizzly Smuck dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Smuck gets caught napping as Mabab dives in and scores a takedown. Smuck manages to retain guard.
Smuck wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mabab manages to pass to side control.
Smuck tries to roll over but Mabab keeps him under control.
Mabab is taking a breather. Smuck says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Let's hope that Mabab has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Smuck is looking to control Mabab's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Smuck avoid being mounted?
Grizzly Smuck is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mabab keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Smuck has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mabab is working away from the top position though.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Smuck throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mabab stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Smuck is looking to wear down Mabab with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Smuck looks to score with a jab to the body but Mabab is just out of range.

Mabab tries to close the distance and clinch but Smuck swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smuck throws a one two combo.
Mabab swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Smuck throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mabab drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Smuck defends it well.
Mabab throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Smuck tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mabab is in Smuck's guard.
Smuck wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mabab manages to pass to side control.
Smuck is trying to control but can't.
Kebab Mabab has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mabab is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Grizzly Smuck.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smuck, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Grizzly Smuck was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
